The girl with the pearl earring
I have a great respect for the elders and the "classical" school. That is why I interpret, in my own way, universally known works, such as this one: The Girl with a Pearl, by Vermeer (circa 1665). Vermeer also used sfumato on this small painting (almost square, 39.5 x 44 cm), and like the Mona Lisa, I practice the opposite, the "chiaroscuro" or chiaroscuro to reinforce the trait precisely instead of dilute it. This canvas is square, and I have more centered on the face. Frame included
